My name is Ludivine— but I go by Lulu. 😊I'm a birth and postpartum Doula who approaches perinatal care holistically. Originally from Paris, I’ve made the Bay Area my home for many years, raising two wonderful young adults and nurturing a life filled with outings in nature, good foods, and meaningful connections. My journey into this work began through my own very different, but equally transformative, birth experiences and, later on, after supporting two close friends during their respective labor. Those moments opened my heart and revealed how powerful, vulnerable, and sacred birth could be all at once.Progressively, I started developing the desire, motivation, and passion to support others through that same threshold. I worked actively at refining exactly what I wanted to bring to these families I was called to work with: loving and compassionate care, absolute presence, deep listening of someone's needs, and serene and peaceful energy.Birth work became a true calling. I decided to take a training as a full spectrum Doula in 2020 through Childbirth Professionals International and facilitated by Hospital Friendly Doulas. During the following years I also studied Ayurveda and became an Ayurvedic health counselor from Kerala Ayurveda Academy and I certified as an Ayur-doula with Yoga Veda Institute.I am passionate about wellness and healthy living in general. When I’m not supporting families, you’ll probably find me hiking in the hills, paddle-boarding in the Bay, meditating, cooking something comforting, or tending to my little balcony garden.I love cooking for my family, spending time in nature, and learning about different cultures and ways of being. I believe that warmth, curiosity, and kindness are at the heart of good care, and I strive to bring those qualities into everything I do.At my core, I am a loving, caring, and grounded person. I draw strength from my Buddhist practice, my intent to live mindfully, and eating nourishing foods. I believe that food and care are medicine — that warmth, presence, and deep listening can be profoundly healing. As your doula, I bring that same energy into the birth space: calm, compassionate, and fully-attuned to your needs.
